Join Mums for Lungs to find out about School Streets and how to support the many new schemes coming across London from September.
In September when schools reopen, many London boroughs are planning to implement School Streets as a response to Covid-19. Lambeth are planning 21, Richmond 15, Islington 26, Merton 28, and Hackney 40, among others. Mums for Lungs are supporting parents and schools to make these “emergency” schemes a success.
Etta Collier, parent at Bessemer Grange School in Southwark, will give a parent’s view on why a School Street makes a big difference, every day.
Michelle Jamieson, Senior Transport Planner at Camden Council, will give a Council officer’s view and be on hand to answer any technical questions you might have.
Amy Foster, PSHE Lead at Bessemer Grange Primary, and one of Southwark’s Healthy Schools Champions, will speak about the school’s perspective of delivering a School Street.
There will be a Q+A session at the end.
Mums for Lungs hope to leave you feeling empowered and excited about these fantastic schemes to reduce air pollution and improve children’s health.
